Question for moms of cheerleaders

My 2 year old DD wants pom poms for Christmas. I'm looking online and there are several different kind to choose from. Obviously I don't need anything fancy, since she's only 2, but I want them to be nice. There are show pom poms and push pom poms on the site that I found. What is the difference? Would one or the other be better for her at her age?

I've only ever worked with show poms. (I coach and all three of my girls are cheerleaders.) I looked them up online and the difference seems to be the shape of the pom. Show poms are more of a full ball, while push poms seem to just fan out from the handle. I would recommend show poms. They have different handles as well...I recommend a style with a strap (as opposed to baton or dance style handles) because little kids have a tendancy to let go of the poms, and the strap with keep them from flying across the room, lol.
