I feel like a bad mom now...

I didn't wake up for DD's 3am feeding...slept right through both alarms, didn't wake up until 5am AND her apnea monitor apparently went off sometime between 12am and 4:30am and I didn't wake up for that either, and that thing is LOUD, I have no idea how the monitor didn't wake me up! Her next feeding was at 6am, so I had to wait until at least 5:45am to hook up her feeding pump and get it going. 

DD has only been home for two whole days and I've already screwed up...I feel sooooo bad right now. :(

Oh HUGS - sounds like there is a LOT of adjustments for you and sleep deprivation is HORRIBLE in the beginning.

its probably just sleep deprivation on your part.  try new alarms or methods for waking up next time. if you use this as a learning experience......then you are infact not a bad mother. good luck mamma :)

As long as she is ok your fine.

Btw Are you on any pain med from the birth? When I had a C section they gave me meds that knocked me out and i didnt wake up for at least 8 hours and I am a pretty light sleeper.

Don't feel bad. Do you have help? Doesn't you dh do anything to help you?

sleep deprivation is terrible. is she okay? if so then you are not a bad mom

ps those apnea monitors were so unreliable for me

It's okay. Just breathe.

This is the hardest time of your life and your body just needed its sleep. Is there anyone that can stay with you and help?

Breathe mama, dont batter yourself down, as long as she is ok then just work on settin up a different type of wakeup system be it different alarms or something HUGS!!!!!!!!!!
