Most of the vegetables and fruit I'll use in the next 12 months and it only cost $1500.  :-)

I will hope you don't lose power for an extended amount of time for the next 12 months lol. I'm so afraid of spending that amount buying up food and losing it...

Our city put power lines underground a couple decades ago.  In four years, we've lost power for more than 5 minutes exactly once, and that one only lasted about 2 hours.

Most of what I get is either dehydrated or canned.  Freezers almost exclusively reserved for meat.

Well... No worries! I spend that a month feeding the family, but there's 7 of us. I am incapable of bargain shopping it seems.

These are vegetable and fruit shares through a local CSA farm.  They don't kick in until June but so worth while.  Literally the only produce I'm buying right now is a bit of fresh fruit and potatoes, onions, garlic, and carrots.  Everything else is coming off shelves from last summer.
