Edit my Craigslist Ad

There was just a sudden, unexpected shut down of a popular local daycare. I want to put up a Craigslist ad now why there is a need for childcare. Please look my ad over and tell me how it sounds.

I am a stay at home to 3 children, two in school, one at home. I am offering affordable childcare with flexible hours in my ********* home. My home is already childproof and very child friendly, with all baby gear and toys for older children on hand. It's a newer home built in 2004, in a safe, family oriented dead end development.
Prior to becoming a stay at home mother, I have worked for several years as a private in home nanny and will be willing to submit to a background check for serious potential clients.

I would consider you if I looked on CL for a babysitter!

Smoke in the house? Pets?
How many children are you looking for?
What are you considering affordable?
Are you wanting to become a licensed home daycare?
What hours are available?
Will the kids just hang out around the house, or will you take them to places like the park or zoo?
What age limits do you have?

These are just a few things I would expand on.

Maybe instead of saying "dead end development" you could say cul de sac? Otherwise, I'd certainly call you!

You might want to look into your state laws before you advertise that you are opening a daycare. Most states require that you be inspected by the state, some even require that you get a liscense. I know in Kansas that you have to fill out paperwork from the state, then you have to be inspected by the health department and the fire department. In Kansas you also have to go through a back ground check before they will allow you to open for  business. If you don't do this you can get into trouble. Please look into it before you put this ad up.

Oh and are you doing all day child care or a couple hours of babysitting? Either? You may want to specify whether this is for full time care or random drop ins or both.
