K, I really don't know my drugs other than the basics....  Anyway, I was reading this article that Janelle on Teen mom was arrested and tested positive for marijuana and opiates...  But I don't know what an opiate is...  Is that Heroin???

Anyway it was an old article but I googled her becasue in the most recent episode she decided to go to rehab so I was seeing what happened since she got out of rehab...  Here is the article for you like I said, its old, but answer the question for me :)

Can they tell what it is on a drug test???  :)  I want some good gossip not just "opiate" lol.  Because I think she must be on more than just weed to keep going off on how she just "HAS to use" because weed isn't addictive... (at least I got that from DARE!)

Oxcycone is also a opiate and is simlar to heroin in a way. Just as methadone is, the issue with opiates are that withdrawls can almost kill you, and you program your brain to actually need them to survive.

The major biologically active opiates found in opium are morphine, codeine, papaverine and to a lesser extent thebaine, which is not narcotic. Semi-synthetic opioids such as hydrocodone, hydromorphone, oxycodone, and oxymorphone are derived from these substances, especially morphine, codeine, and thebaine. Noscapine, along with approximately 25 other alkaloids, are also present in opium, but have little to no effect on the human central nervous system, and are not usually considered to be opiates.

An opiate is a narcotic, Oxycodone is an opiate. In order to be on my super strong opioid pain medication, Fentanyl, you have to be opioid tolerant, which basically means things like vicodin and oxy don't work and your body was used to them.

Not something to mess around with. I wonder what she got caught with.
