I've heard that it has a lot of false positives, but I don't know the actual numbers. I had it done with my last 3 pregnancy's (my dr. does it routinely and I didn't turn it down). I never experienced a false positive personally.

It has a lot of false positives (it is done for many other conditions besides downs as well)

Nuchal fold is a probability that something is wrong - not a test.  So a "positive" means there is a higher chance your baby has a problem, but not that they think he has Downs.

Are you going to have CVS?

Often! They said my son may have downs due to the skin on his neck and he's fine. Healthy and 13 months old no downs. I panicked but that's also because his kidneys are two different sizes. Ones a bit bigger.

Quite a few false positives from what I've heard.

They said my son was very very very very very low risk. He was born with Mosaic Down Syndrome. Yep....They are often wrong.

I was told it could be wrong, but I don't know the numbers. Mine was negative and was correct.
