My son is in 3rd grade and it took he and I 4 hours to complete his homework. Okay.. Maybe 3 hours, had to fit dinner in there. I can't believe how much homework he gets! It's too much. Anyone else deal with this? .

no but when I was a kid it happened to us in the 4th grade. The parents had a meeting and slammed all the teachers. SS doesnt have that much to do.

Mine took a long time too because he was having trouble understanding. Sometimes it took a tag team to get him through it. Is he understanding what he has to do?

IMO, 1st grade homework should take ten to 20 mins. 2nd grade 20-30, 3rd 30-40. Kwim. It's really not fair to the working parents that want to spend time with their children, but have so much school work to do.

How much homework does he have exactly? Not time wise, amount wise.
