Seriously. Im so tired of losing family members because of these stupid death sticks!! Im tired of my friends always smoking when my mom is dying from lung cancer. Im tired of people being stupid and continueing to smoke even when they have serious lung problems. Im tired of walking into a store and getting smoke blown into mine or my childs face. There is nothing awesome or cool about cigarettes!! Cigars too, most, if not all tobacco products should be made illegal or the prices raised so much so that only the really wealthy with the means to pay for whatever treatment may result from continueing to smoke could buy it. Funny how the government has no problems letting people smoke this crap, but then there is no help for lung cancer patients because most of them "did it to themselves". Ugh. End rant.

I'm sorry you have lost friends/family. With that said the rest of this is just ridiculous.

I agree. I live in Germany and you wouldn't believe how many smokers there are here. Cigarettes are sold in vending machines on the side of the road everywhere. I see kids at school smoking all the time. It's so sad!

How so, even with all the "cannot smoke within some odd feet of this building" laws in effect, people STILL smoke right outside of them and I have recently had smoke blown right into my face as I walked by holding my son. I can hold my breath, he cant. There is NO reason we should have to be exposed to that.

There is so much stuff out there that you and your son are exposed to. You can't help everything. You would drive yourself nuts thinking about all the things that you are breathing in that isn't cigarette smoke and just stay in your house all the time...

So the government should ban everything that can potentially kill a person? I'm sorry you've lost loved ones, but it's not the government's place to decide what is healthy enough for us to have. I think meat, McDonalds, and coke are terribly unhealthy and should not be consumed, but having the government ban them for being unhealthy is stupid.

I don't think they should be banned, but I wish they would ban kids from smoking. I don't see how they can make tanning beds illegal to use under 18, but not cigarettes? That's when the kids become addicted. The laws here are 16 can smoke, 19 can buy. It needs to be changed.
I'm sorry smoking has affected your life so much, it is awful.

I like smoking. Simple as that. Even if it were illegal, I'd probably still do it anyway. I do respect posted signs tho.

Sorry for your loss
