I am watching the Dateline show about this tonight on NBC. It really makes my heart hurt to think not only did he blow the house up with the boys in it, but he attacked them with a hatchet right before. And bless that social worker. because you can see & hear the hurt all over her face & the grandma that talked them into going to the scheduled visit when they didn't want to. Looking back now there where so many warning signs. I hope if at all possible something good can come from this. Some type of law change or a new bill or procedure for visitations. I just can't even fathom what the people involved are going through.

My mom works for DSHS here in WA state.  She was trying to figure out just WHY the judge allowed supervised visits at the man's house to begin with.

She believes this asshole was on the "if I can't have them, no one can" mentality.

It just said attacked with a hatchet. but I am not sure what the actual cause of death is. And the dispatcher is definitley an idiot. The social worker is telling him this is life threating, but he is qsking dumb questions about what Josh Powell is wearing & his birthday. It was infuriating to listen to.

He chopped on them with it. Idk if he killed them with it. I watched it on inside edition last week. He also called family members to tell them goodbye, but nobody was home so he left a message. It's so sad what those kids went through.

I watched and i cried thinking.about the fear those boys must have felt when he turned on them and cut them up what a evil monster my heart hurts for the grandparents they have lost so much .So sad the boys were killed like that must .And the poor social worker can tell she loved them

They said it was because at the foster care facility other families were not happy with a possible pedophile and murderer going there to visit the boys so they allowed the home visits instead .They should have made it a public place idk very sad
