UPDATE 2/13: We are home! Thank you for all the positive thoughts and prayers. We appreciate them!
Taking Sapphire to the emergency room now, two breathing treatments and inhaler treatments since this morning and she is still struggling to breathe. She was at my mom's. My mom just brought her over. She should have brought her over hours ago and this wouldn't be an issue but it's bad... so .. please send positive vibes that she will be okay, on our way now.
Update 9PM - We have been here for like 8 hours.. maybe more IDK.. I am exhausted. They decided to admit her almost right away. She's had a few breathing treatments but they're not working. Her heartrate is 175, which is understandable because of the treatments, but they are going to have to call the rapid response team if they can't get it to go down and keep her breathing right. They want her up to 98 on the breathing pulse ox thing and she is barely making it to 92 even after the treatments. She was at 88-91 now she is 92-94 depending on what she is doing. She is so hyper... but so tired. Has been up since 3AM.. no nap (which she always gets). Her eyes show it... it looks like she has black eyes.
They're getting ready to bring in a team to give her an IV, to give her fluids and try and get her heart rate slowed down a bit. She's never had a needle near her, ever, so I am really hoping she does okay with it.

Update after IV - My daughter is a freak of nature! lol Seriously. She has never had a needle NEAR her.. I was talking to her about it, trying to prepare her so she didn't freak out.. and I was like okay so they're gonna put a needle in there.. she goes "Can they just come and do it already?" They came and put the IV in and she did not even flinch. She watched them do it! She's fine and watching TV now! :)
6AM - Thanks for all the positive thoughts, I've been reading some of the responses to Sapphire. We are bored out of our minds. I think we got about 2 hours sleep. Breathing treatments every 2 hours, every time they try to space it to 3 hours we have issues. :/ The rapid response team came in last night because of her heart rate and other vital signs not being what they wanted them to be I guess? And they tried to take her off to ICU but the doctor that has been taking care of her said they're going to try and keep her here (and stable) at least til morning (which it is now, and I think she will be okay). I will freak out if she has to go to ICU so I am really hoping she doesn't. She has been drinking water like a camel lol and peeing every 30 minutes or less, so we got zero sleep between that and breathing treatments. My girlfriend starts a new job tomorrow morning and can NOT miss ... so if Saff isn't better by tonight, my other 2 kids will have to come to the hospital and camp out. No clue how that one will work out. :( Just hoping she is better and we can go home by then... sorry.. rambling now.
7AM - Was just notified that there's no way Saff goes home today unless a miracle happens. SO starts her new job tomorrow. The kids need to go to school. I don't know what to do.
9AM - Saff is doing alright, still having wheezing issues. They just listened to her, did her vitals, etc and said they cannot space them out to 3 hours yet. :/ She is not listening, being very hyper now.. which is understandable but no less frustrating. She was jumping around while I was sitting on the bed. I asked her to stop so she flung herself forward and busted her eye on the bed. She now has a black eye. Her first, I believe.. lol. Luckily a nurse witnessed it so nobody thinks I beat her. Going to try and rest a bit. I'm so tired.

11AM - So the breathing treatments are obviously making her hyper. Here's some proof:
She was bouncing around and slammed her head into the bed. :( It's been 2 hours since her last treatment so they should be giving her another one soon. The arts and crafts volunteer person just came in and brought her some paints (oh boy!) and some other stuff to keep her busy. She can't go to the playroom until she is Q3. Right now she is Q2 (treatments every 2 hours). We are counting down the time til lunch, she has a HUGE appetite today.
5PM - She is still on treatments every 2 hours, they said she isn't stable enough to space them out yet. This is getting frustrating. :( I went to the store and got her some play-doh, color books, etc to keep her busy. My friend said she'd take the kids to school tomorrow. So the only thing I have to worry about at home is the dog, which is a big deal because she freaks out when we leave. :/ The hospital is only 10 minutes from home so I may just go home every hour or two to let her out and play with her. It'll be a lot of work but it is what it is. I don't want her to feel neglected or whatever.
Saff is eating like a horse. She had lunch at like noon and already wanted dinner by 4. They said it was her meds. She says she is feeling better. I appreciate all the positive thoughts (and prayers even). Thank you.
7AM- Sapphire got a roommate last night around 10PM. We went to bed at 8, got 2 hours of sleep, then the (loud, obnoxious) roommate got here. Saff slept through the night, thankfully. She hadn't slept much at all! I didn't get any sleep. The roommate is a teenage girl that is apparently having boyfriend troubles. She was on the phone with him for like 3 hours arguing. Then she watched the TV really loudly for a while. And then she passed out around 6, so I got to sleep til 6:30 when Saff woke up LOL.
Saff is on treatments every 3 hours so she is improving. I asked if we could move to every 4 hours because we wanna go HOME.. but they said they won't know til 9AM and they will test her then. I need to go home and deal with the dog like every 2 hours but that is going to be a lot of work. But if I leave her longer than 2 hours she will be highly upset. :/ So at 9 we will find out if she can go to 4 hours, and if so then we could go home as early as 5PM (if things go perfectly). They're already in a rush to get everyone out of here because they're so overbooked, so we will see how it goes. I just want to make sure she is okay before we go home, or we will end up back here in a few days I'm sure.
I'm exhausted. My patience are fried. Is fried? Are fried? Who knows.. me, and patience.. we have severed our friendship. Everything is on my last nerve. Saff won't shut up of course. I got her tons of coloring books and whatnot but she is bored out of her mind. The only thing that shuts her up for 10 seconds is food. It's on its way... lol
8AM - They moved her to Q4 at 4AM and didn't tell me!! So she is Q4 now, I think they really want her out of here fast. We are getting ice/snow and it's not pretty. Normally I wouldn't want them rushing us out of here but we have the breathing treatment stuff at home just in case and they said that she is doing great!! Moving lots of good air. She is due for another treatment now, and they said again at noon and if all goes well we could go home. I'm not positive but if we get out of here by noon that'd be awesome! I have to wait for the doctors to do their rounds (8:30) so I can talk to them, then I have to go home and deal with the dog. I really hope she doesn't shit in her cage... lol :(
