One is a church goer and religious and the other isnt? Do you think it really matters in companionship?

I dont go to church, and I wouldn't be with someone who was a religious church goer. So I guess it wouldn't work for me.

I wouldn't be able to have a relationship with someone who didn't share my beliefs.

I think the only hurdle you will go through is how to raise the kids. Do they go to church with you or stay home with dad. But if you two have talked about it and have come to an agreement than I don't see a problem as long as you respect each other's beliefs.

I love church but my SO isn't a church goer at all it was like pulling teeth for chirsitmas service. I had to put it in terms of everyone having someone there to support them to get my SO to just go with me.
