First Bithday issues! I need some help.

My sons 1st birthday is 2 months away and I'm trying to start figuring out things now. Well he has a milk allergy so the whole cake/cupcake thing is a big issue. I really want to have the usually birthday pictures with the cake all over the face. Does anyone else have a child with an milk allergy? Is there an alternate dessert I could give him that won't result to a trip the hospital?

Doesn't the frosting have milk in it too?

Couldn't you make a cake and use soy or rice milk instead?

I didn't even think about that. Idk if he's allergic to soy or not. His ped said that a lot of children with milk allergy are allergic to soy milk too. So I'm scared to try the soy out.

So what about making it with lactose free milk? Or almond milk?

Try the rice milk, unless he is allergic to it.

Have you even had him tested for said milk allergy?
