how do you keep your child from getting it.my dd starts school this fall and thats one thing im really worried about.so what are your tips?

whats a good brand of tea tree oil or does it not matter

Bump... I work at a clinic at sometimes have pts with lice! Thank GOD i havent gotten it but im interested in where this post goes. My dd starts school this year!

I put tea tree oil in our shampoo, I've also hearrd using Suave Coconut shampoo owks. Kepping their hair in a ponytail if oyu have a girl. Spraying hats etc with tea tree oil.

 There are no ways to avoid it. If someone gets lice there is a chance your child will too.

Tea tree oil shampoo, and hairspray. I know it works because two girls I watch got head lice, and no one in our house did. Which I am very thankful for. I got it in elementary school, and I remember it being a horrible nightmare.

Put a few drops of tea tree oil in her shampoo, put her hair up and use hairspray on it.

Try the Tea Tree Oil, definitely. 

They hate the smell of it and won't lay their eggs in hair that's been sprayed with it.

I got mine at Walmart, but I think you should be able to get it anywhere, and if you put it in shampoo, you don't really need too much, just a drop or two is all I put in.

I get mine from my sister. She's a hairstylist so she gets Paul Mitchell products for me at her cost. I think you can find it almost anywhere that sells shampoo.
