For those that have had your tubes tied...

Did it hurt? How long did it take? Did your insurance pay? Or did you pay out of pocket? At what age did you get your tubes tied?

(I want to get mine done. I am 29. Have two kids 5 and 8 years old.)

I had mine done right after my last child was  born via c-section. Insurance covered it,

I was almost 25 and had just had our 4th baby.

I had my tubes tied when I was 26, 3 months after my youngest DD was born premature because of preeclampsia. It was a same day surgery. I was at the hospital at 6:30am and home by 1pm. I was uncomfortable for a couple days, but nothing major and could not handle. The surgery was performed laproscopically, so I had a two small incisions, one in my belly button and the other along my pubic bone.

I had medicaid, so it paid for everything.

Can you still see the scars from that?
