Why does she do this?

Okay, so I'm scared of the dark...haha yeah yeah...funny. Anyways. I leave the lights on all night in the house...I leave the bathroom light on in my room so it's dimly lit. And the main room lights on throughout the house (foyer, kitchen, dining, living room).

My DD who is 4 gets up and turns them all off in the middle of the night...every night (even comes to my room to turn mine out).

Why??? I wake up and it's dark and I get scared!!!

You need the x-10 house controller.  You can operate all the lights plugged into outlets in your house with a remote:)  No getting out of bed in the dark to turn a light out.

Your guess is as good as mine. Does that cause your light bill to be high?

Yes.

But well worth it in my opinion.

I actually have a sensitivity to light...ironically so we use no lights during the day.

I need dimmer switches. A dim light it perfect for me 24/7.

Buy why isn't she scared?

I just asked her and she said "it's just dark mommy...you don't need to see just feel around with your hands."

No. NO. Absolutely not. Creepy.

That is too funny, have you tried asking why she does it?

I also have to sleep with a light on.

1 mom liked this
But it your upstairs in your bed you won't know it's dark downstairs.

Something my ex taught me when I left lights on was with the lights on they can see me from outside but I can't see them. So now lights stay off.
