My dad was going to get one. Then realized he could get a convertible BMW (when I told him) for almost the same price.

He went with the Beemer...lol.

I have no experience with this vehicle. However, I advise you to check out the crash test ratings for any vehicle you are considering by going to www.iihs.org and typing in the make and model. Also, if you have children that still ride in a child safety seat, make sure you can properly install and use all child seats before you purchase the vehicle. If you don't want to bring your children along, at least bring their seats. You don't want to buy the vehicle only to find out your child seats don't fit!

Good luck on your vehicle search, and have a wonderful night!

You can also check out the Nissan website and look at the features of the car you're considering.

I didn't look at the Maxima specifically when I was car shopping I was looking for an SUV but at the time my brother was also car shopping and was looking to upgrade his 2007 Nissan Altima, the Maxima was top on his list - he soon discovered as I did that Nissan's are excellent vehicles but with a way too big price tag.   For the minimal features you'd get on a Nissan model of any kind you get a lot more bang for your buck with a Honda or Toyota --- Honda is equal to Nissan in quality, dependability and has higher safety ratings.      Like I said Nissan makes excellent vehicles and my brother loved his Altima which is why the Maxima was on the list - if it is what you truly want then go for it but if you are looking for more value for your dollar, keep shopping.

My DH works in auto mechanics and he says the Nissans are nice...but are costly to repair and hard to work on. He always recommends a Honda over a Nissan.

Good luck finding the car you want!

Edit: Oh yes! OR a Toyota Camry. He said those things are awesome.

Nissans in general are very good cars.  DH just sold his beater car a couple months ago.  It was a (I forget the year) Maxima.  It had 240,000 miles on it & still ran great!

I can't help much, but my step mom swears by Nissan. She used to have an Altima and it was the best car she's ever owned. She's buying a new Altima this summer.

My grandparents had a Maxima years ago and it lasted for a while.

From what I hear the resale value on Nissans are pretty high.
