So after less then 3 weeks our roommate will be leaving. It just wasn't working, and everyone's "roommates don't work" motto seems to be correct. It doesn't work. By having him here we essentially took on two others to support and care for: him and his son. It's just been one huge financial drain, and didn't end up being any help to us. We're paid up until May, and will pay up even more once we get my state and financial aid refund.
He's packing now, and will be out before Wednesday.
No bad feelings, and we are all still friends. I'm really happy it ended up being this amicable. I think he kinda felt some of the tension in the house...and it was even worse after his "baby momma" called the cops on him last night. I feel awful about it, but we can't support ourselves let alone 2 more people.
So now we have a spare bedroom with an attached bathroom that's on the 1st floor. I'm thinking of making it into my office. I can't lie... I'm kinda relieved the roommate thing is over.
Well I guess we all live and learn. I could not ever have a roomate now that I have kids. Why did the baby mamma call the police?
Quoting celeciag:
Pulling out my umbrella for the hail of "I told you so's" to come
Your soon to be ex roommate is a pussy if he isn't willing to work through the first month or so adjustment period......
Sounds best imo...and the whole police stuff wouldn't fly at my home especially with having my own children in the home. Glad it didn't end ugly between you.
