Had a serious talk with brother and his girlfriend. Lightened the situation by adding, "I will test-tube babies for you guys! I will be a surrogate mommy if I have to be for the sake of a niece or nephew"

at a 2 year old's birthday party? The party is at home, with family and closest friends. There will be a variety children ages 4 months to 10 years. I was thinking hamburgers and hotdogs, but it might be too cold to stand outside and grill. That is the ONLY way I can eat a hamburger. The party is taking place at 2:30 after naptime and after lunch. So finger foods would be obvious. I'm just stuck! The party theme: cows!

Oh! And to the ladies that helped me with cake decisions. Thank you oh so much! I decided to go brave and actually work with fondant for the first time. I have all the supplies I need for it and watched a tutorial on how to work with it (I think I have it down). I bought black sugar sheets for the spots so I don't have to dye the fondant. I will sooo post pics after making it!! I'm excited!!!

I cook up either 2lbs of ground beef or turkey...or 1lb ground meat and a can of beans. Drain and mix in the taco seasonings. Layer the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish with the meat. Then add a layer of sour cream, a layer of shredded lettuce, sprinkle on shredded cheese, some diced tomatoes and drizzle with taco sauce. Serve warm or cool with tortilla chips. It's AMAZING!!!

You can leave off stuff you don't like. My SIL is a vegetarian so I make her her own bowl of it with just beans no meat. And my other SIL hates lettuce so I leave some of it without lettuce.

What about Buffalo Chicken Wing Dip? lol We're big on dips around here. They're easy finger food.

Those little cocktail weiners wrapped in crossants are good too.

1 mom liked this

It's always the first thing to go at our parties lol and everyone always asks me to bring it to theirs. It's easy and delicious. And addicting (I'm warning you lol)
