In my family, we were taught never to count on inheritance, that it is not owed to you, and it is certainly never a good idea to include inheritance in your plans. What do you think?
I see so many people get into arguments, break family ties, and get angered when inheritance isn't given to them, or is divided up in a way they weren't expecting. Why do people think inheritance is owed to them? Do you think it is the responsibility of a parent to leave their (presumably adult) children with an inheritance?
most of my inheritence is already in a trust for me and my son. I do not feel entitled to it, but blessed by my parents
Nope. My parents own a ranch, that makes them a nice living. But the ranch is going to my brother, as it well should, since he is the only one who has worked it since we became adults. The other four of us agree.
