Be honest...what do you think?

I know I need to add different candles and a BIG picture with a black frame but how does it look so far?  This is over my fireplace mantle....I plan to get a family picture done after we have our little girl and I lose some of the baby weight

I'm not really a fan of candles simply because they aren't really useful unless the power goes out, they just collect dust and really serve no purpose, I'm not being mean I swear, I used to have many candle holders decorating my old apt, when I went to pack them up I realized by the inch of dust just how useless they are.

I had a big black and white picture of the eiffel tower in a black frame but a few weeks ago it jumped off the wall and the glass shattered, frame broke and the picture was messed up so I had to toss all of it. I plan to get better looking candles for the other holders but I am unsure as to what color they should be.
