That in a 7 year old, it is more than likely a sign of diabetes or cancer?

I have never heard of that. But then again I have only dealt with it once with one of my children, who was just a newborn.

My son is 6 and gets it all the time. They say it's from his inhalers even though We wash out his mouth. I don't think the rumor is true.

Um? I guess that would depend on where the overgrowth was occurring. I thought it was that frequent thrush infections were a sign of diabetes, haven't heard that about cancer.

It can be a sign but I wouldn't say its a guarantee of the diseases. I would have it checked out though.

I know plenty of adults that get thrush...it can be a symptom of some diseases...but it is still just a yeast infection.
