Come Sept I will be 40. YES...........40!!!!!!!!

I am wanting to throw myself a bday party and invite all my friends, past, present and those I havent seen in years to my house to party like I did when I was in my 20s!!!!!! Is this an ok thing to do or should I just wait to see if someone throws one for me? (I am afraid no one would)

I would not throw myself a "birthday" party. I can't stand when adults do that. It's different if it's something thrown for you.

I would however throw a get togetehr at my home and not mention my birthday at all....until maybe they got there.

I think it is just fine.    My friend threw herself a Big Bash for her 30th.  lol.   The invitations read:  Please Join me in celebration of the Passing of my Youth.

LOL! There is more I am celebrating other than my 40th. I am also slated to enter the RN program that month too, as well as having surgery this April (hysterectomy) so I have alot of celebrating and stuff I feel I must do!
