ETA: BOTH drivers survived. A passenger in the car driving the right direction was killed! (some people misunderstood)

Only the wrong way driver went to trial for the Intoxication manslaughter charge.  The other drunk driver simply got a "slap on the wrist". She had 6 months probation for the DUI charge.

The car not driving the wrong way is the vehicle that the 23 yr old girl died in.  Both drivers were driving drunk on the hwy! The driver going the wrong way had a bal of .13  the other driver had a bal of .11.  Who do you think should serve time for the intoxication manslaughter....Is the wrong way driver solely to blame, or are they both to blame?

This is something that really happened in my city. The verdict has already been given.  I would just like to see who you all think should be found guilty.. one or both?

Well both should, drinking and driving dont mix!
But i feel more that the one driving the wrong way should get more time served.

I think they both should but since the other driver died, its hard to say if that other driver should be charged with the girls death, but in my opinion I think the driver going the wrong way should be charged for it come to think about it.

Both. They shouldn't be behind a wheel while drunk.

I'm gonna say both! The law states it's illegal to drink and drive, but I'm also gonna say that the girl who died knew she was risking her life when she got in the car with the drunk driver.

I voted the wrong way driver...he did cause the accident, but the other driver shouldn't get away with a slap on the wrist either.

We have a similar case here.  A child was killed when her grandfather pulled out in front of an oncoming car.  The driver of that car was not speeding, but he was intoxicated.  Because he did not contribute to the accident, he is not being charged with manslaughter - just DUI.
