 Hmmmm....i don't know...i'd say it can be inappropriate at any age ...i wouldnt wear one if i was overweight...

I know a couple 40 year olds who wear them and look great and not at all inappropriate. I also know a 20 year old who looks totally inappropriate in one. It also depends on the bikini.

Shrug, it's a personal decision for yourself and keep in mind that no matter what age you wear one until, someone is going to judge you.

I wear bikinis in the backyard pool only (fears someone would call Sea World if out in public).  I do have a two piece that covers me to my knees for public though.

 As long as you feel comfortable in it I say go for it!
I'm 46 now and wore one up until a couple years ago....lets just say the midsection took a turn for the worse.  Now I love my full piece suit.
