*update*
She is sleeping now. Am keeping an eye on her, she is in my bed. She is breathing fine and no cough. I know she is going to need an oral medication to fix the problem. She will be in the doctors off at 8am. If she can sleep the rest of the
night we will be great.
**update 2.15.**
So DD was able to sleep from midnight own with no problem. She was check out by the doctor today and he said she sounded good, just a freak attack cause of the weather. Going to keep an eye on her till she goes next week for test. She begged to go to school was worried but I let her go anyways. She did great, me checking my phone ever 10 sec lol. Had no cough or anything to night, just an early bedtime cause she was soo tired and some sore ribs.
Hugs! My son was like that! He had cold induced Asthma. He has grown out of it for the most part, but he had to be on daily meds. (slo bid and and insperease)
Have you tried steam? That helps my dd when she coughs. You might need to move up to the next step like an inhaled steroid if the albuterol isn't cutting it so I would ask your doc and see. Thats what my dd's pedi said anyway.
I've heard that putting a lot of Vicks VapoRub stuff on your feet and then covering them with socks is supposed to suppress a cough, but I've never tried it.
Even honey with hot water, like if you boiled it for tea.
You can make a concoction of garlic and honey too, but not sure if she will go for it.
Warm drinks help the most...nothing from the fridge, everything should be room temp for asthmatics...no ice in the drinks.

I agree I also have asthma and its been affecting me. Try vicks on her chest and feet. Make sure she's very hydrated, and I think u should try another treatment. I don't know if its bec I'm an adult but the times I've gone to the er with asthma they do like 3 of them. The treatment should help her cough. Good look mom I know ur daughters pain.
