I was given a script for this medication last week.  My therapist said it should have with my anxiety and pain as well as help me sleep.  The sleep part confuzzles me seeing as i'm up at almost 3:30am.. lmao.  But she dx'd me with moderate depression and ptsd.  I'm just curious if anyone here has any experience with this medication???

Some classes of anti-depressants tend to make you drowsy, but aren't actually sleep-aids so if you are up on the computer or not trying to fall asleep you can usually stay awake just fine.

Well it's either going to be one of those meds that doesn't help me sleep OR maybe it takes a while to get in my system.  I just started taking it.  But she said it should help me sleep.  But lately nothing makes me sleep.  I tried to lay down and was impossible so I got up thinking staring at a bright screen would help.  I was wrong :P  Ive been waiting 3+ hours..

What mg are you on? I started out on 25, my doc upped it to 50. It does take some time to build up in your system.

It's a real old school anti depressant that they use sometimes to help people sleep.

She started me on 50mg capsule.  Told me to start out taking 1 at bedtime then gradually increase to 2 at bedtime.

When do you take it? How late? You might also notice that you're really thirsty, which is normal for this med.
