Don't you hate it when you realize you stereotype people?

There were these two guys in a restaurant last night. I am not sure if they were father and son or brothers, but they were ...well...ugly.  I am not talking just a little bit. They got some really bad genetics.  BAD!!

Anyway, they both had what looked to be mail-order brides...lol.  Young Asian girls that could barely speak English.  Anyway, it was just odd.

Then I started thinking, how can they be with these guys?  They are just gross.  Their breath probably smells bad and they probably stink and so on. (It probably didn't help that one was wearing a sleeveless t-shirt to a steak place on V-Day, so he looked kind of trashy anyway)

Then I realized, damn was a I doing a whole lot of stereotyping.  First of all, I assumed that since they were super ugly that their foreign wives must be mail order brides.

Then I assumed that because they were ugly that they must be dirty too.

Oops!  At least I realized it...right?  Lol

It happens. I worked in admissions at the zoo when I was in high school, and this guy came up to my window. He was covered in tattoos (all on his face, neck, arms, etc) and just looked tough and mean. I assumed he would be mean and a jerk to me, and he was the sweetest customer to ever go through my line. He was a single dad (I couldn't see his little girl at first), and talked to me for about ten minutes about the zoo and such. He was very kind, funny, and great to talk to. I felt like crap when I realized I had judged him with just how he looked.
