Please keep my DD in your thoughts..After 5 years we think we finally know what is wrong with her...
My DD is 5.5 she has always been a sick child plus she is a severe asthmatic and has food allergies...
We just found out that my DD has an immune system disorder and her body does not make enough antibodies to fight off infections or to keep her healthy so now we have to weigh our options with her...
Our options are these
1)She will have to go through a series of shot and blood work..The shots are to help build her immune system and the blood work it to monitor her progress...(If this does not work we are having to look at these options)
2) She would have to go to the hospital 1x a week to have an IV put in
3)she will have to have an IV done at home and put on it a few times a day
3)Once a month she would have to go in to the hospital and have good blood put in to her body and her bad blood removed.
On top of that we will have to decide whether or not to put her on antibiotics the rest of her life to help her not get sick or as soon as she shows any sign of illness she would have to be put on a high dose of meds to help fight off the virus..
My DD is only 5.5 and she already has to take 3 meds on a daily basis to help control her asthma plus she has 3 others meds that she has to take as needed for her asthma which includes her nebulizer plus oral steriods....
I am so scared for her right now :(

It's so hard seeing them sick & hurt. I can only imagine how you feel.

Poor princess. I understand. I have been sick my entire life. I spent my first six years puking all the time. I ate I puked, Water realy set it off. They kept tellng my mom it was the flu. SIX YEARS of puking and it was the flu? BS I also peed my pants all the time. Finaly we found a good dr and turns out my kidneys were bad and I was within days of dying I had such a huge infection. They cut into thinking they just had to drain a infection. Well turns out I had extra and missing organs. I was a MESS inside. Thankfully they kind of fixed me.
Thank you for sharing your story and I am glad that they caught that before something had happened to you....It is hard when you know something is wrong with your child, but yet nobody ever seems to know crap!!

-hugs- things will work out. DOnt give up. try as many drs and specilists as you can. I am actualy facing surgery #5 (#1 was the kidney surger, #2 was for apendicitis, #3 was a emergancy c-section, #4 was a pland c-section (I can't dialate and have a bicorniute uterus and tilted back) ) #5 is for Hyperparathyroidism. It looks like I will need more then one parathyroid removed. I also just found out I have a genetic disorder called Nerofibromatosis type 1. it can take years to find out what is wrong. Just dont ever give up! fight as hard as you can for her. No one else will.
