Keep your kid in a 5-point for as long as they will fit. While you could move them up now there is no reason to rush it if they still fit in their 5-point.
It is best to keep them in the 5 point until 6 years old.
My son is 5 and still in his 5 point. I plan to keep him in it as long as I can.
for me it will depend on ds maturaty level, I don't feel that at 4 he is mature enough to be without the 5pt harness...lucky enough his 5pt harness goes up to 85lbs then switches to a booster

I just switched my dd to a high back booster a few weeks ago, she is 5.
