Is your dog..

Is your dog super lazy?

Mine is only 5 months old and you'd think she'd be crazy hyper all the time but she'd rather lay on me than go run around. I take her out to go pee/poop and she does her business then RUNS back inside and goes to my bed or to the couch to sit by me. She is constantly up my butt and doesn't like me to leave her side for 2 seconds. She sleeps for a few hours each day for a nap (and then all night). Is this normal?

for a puppy - of that breed not really.

My nico is only two and he is always on the run

my other two are both turning 5 this year - they are active and like to chase things etc but they are also content just raxing (relaxing) with the homies.

Echo especially but he has health issues that keep him less active than he wants to be. I play a lot of sedentary games with him because he is a high drive dog and can easily be bored and get depressed.

she's probably growing... and when she's done with the growth spurt... watch out. That's what happened with my dog, anyway... at about 5 or 6 months, he basically turned into an area rug for a few weeks, and then WHAMMO! Spazzmatazz the great was born!

She sleeps all day and night, but she plays with the kids when they want her to.  She's a four year old German Shepherd.

Maybe she has some insecurities due to being rehomed?

I didn't think it was normal but the vet said she is super healthy. She is getting spayed next week so they said that may calm her down too. When she gets to running she is CRAZY hyper but it only lasts maybe 5 minutes tops then she is wanting to cuddle again.

Her old owners visited us and couldn't believe how calm she was for us. She was hyper at first while they were here but then she just sat on my lap. They said she was VERY hyper when they had her. She also had like 5 other dogs around though. Here it's just me and the kids, no dogs.

My female is super lazy, she's old now. When she was younger I thought she was engergetic. Our male is super hyper or super lazy. He goes in spurts.

LOL Poor dog. :)

She is doing well. Taking a nap right now. She's still on treatments every 6 hours but she is doing alright. Thanks for asking. <3
