If a man murders his children should he be buried next to them? (more on the story in comment 84)
As most know Josh Powell blew up his home with him and his 2 boys in it, before lighting the fire he attacked both boys ages 7 and 5 with a hatchet. Now his family is asking for his body to be laid to rest in the plot next to his sons.
I know the Cox family can't necessarily stop this from happening but do you think it is appropriate?
On Wednesday the Puyallup city manager contacted attorney Anne Bremner and told her that Josh Powell's relatives are requesting that he be buried next to his sons.
Bremner represents Chuck and Judy Cox, the parents of Powell's missing wife, Susan Cox Powell, who disappeared in December 2009. The Coxes had custody of Charlie and Braden Powell. Josh killed himself and the young boys, ages 7 and 5, when he blew up his home on Feb. 5.
Bremner said that she will file for a temporary restraining order to prohibit the burial but the city manager forewarned her that there may not be any way of avoiding the burial taking place as it is a public cemetery over which the city of Puyallup has no right to restrict.
The legal guardians are suppose to make that choice? Right?
If he was off his meds and didn't know what he was doing let him rest
If he dis it on purpose he shouldn't
I don't watch the news much so I'm not 100% familiar with the whole story
