I think even if they tried they couldn't shut down the net. Way too many nerds out there to stop that from happening :)

Not going to happen. They are going to have to find another solution and they are working on one. If they shut down the internet, even for an hour, think about how it would effect the economy. So much of this country's monetary transactions are reliant on the internet and not just online purchases but actual credit card transactions and stock exchange too.

Did you even read it??? I think it should happen...this was a TEMPORARY fix and it isn't the FBI's fault if they are not fixing their own systems

Yea it would have to be temporary, I know our company depends on email to communicate with customers and our company software only runs online. Hell, our phones are tied into our company software so we would lose those too. It would be detrimental not to just our company but many others.
