Did you have back labor?

What did you use for pain relief?

I did with both of my children, I'm pregnant and due in May with my third and I am expecting to have back labor again with this one. For pain relief I walked, got in the whirlpool, got back massages, and sat on the yoga ball. I am against medication during labor and delivery and some of those options didn't work too well, so for those of you who had back labor...what worked?

With my second. The best relief I found was knowing it would eventually stop. That was the only thing that got ne through it. It was so much worse than my first where I had all belly labor, but I was 2 months farther along too.

Well I did pass out from the pain with my second baby. After I did sleep for a little while when things eased up a bit and it did help a lot.

I know, when it came time to push I was so relieved! Pushing was a breeze compared to the contractions.

1 mom liked this
Yup!! He was my first and I was such a trooper!! Make sure it's a good sized smooth river rock. My nurse thought it was the coolest idea ever lol. The ball worked wonders too though. But they didn't think to offer it to me until way later.
