WHY???

Do two year olds always seem to find Sharpies, no matter how hard you try to keep them away? DS found a Sharpie and drew all over MIL's microfiber couch yesterday. I was at work and DH fell asleep while watching them.

So the boys and I spent 45 minutes scrubbing with rubbing alcohol. Surprisingly, it seems to be working. I'm not done yet, but most of the marker is gone. I told DH he has to finish cleaning it, but I somehow doubt that's going to happen.

Mine find things I swear I had thrown away months ago.
Scissors, sharpies crayons...DS had rainbow sprinkle poop from crayons the other week. I was like WTF? I threw out all the crayons before we even moved into this apt!

Annette likes to quote people. Everywhere.

Just for future reference, fingernail polish remover removes Sharpie ink, no elbow grease required.

Don't let it get on synthetic fabrics. It'll dissolve them.

DD once spilled some on a jacket. Ate a hole through the jacket, and through the carpet.

My DD finds pens. I got home one day and SO was sleeping on the couch and my baby girl was "decorating" her room with a pen. further investigation revealed she drew on her belly, face, legs, toes, my fridge, all the bedroom doors (they were closed), the dog who is pure white, my couch....

He said he had just fallen alseep like 10 minutes before i got home. I didn't believe that for a second!

Good to know. Thanks.

Yes... I probably should have mentioned "on hard surfaces".

LOL  We got lucky DD only drew on her toy box as well as herself or on paper that wasnt hers to draw on.  She loves to "tattoo" herself with a dry erase marker.  She will draw animals and the sun all over legs.
