I have my 3 week old here so we can continue breastfeeding. And DH is here to help with her....
It will be fine - I had mine out while I was 5mo pregnant, I wish I had done it years ago (lots of unexplained pain resolved).
Hugs!
You need to talk to the doctors or a lactation expert about nursing after it is out.
When I had mine out, I was really sick. I was on IV antibiotics, and pain killers for 3 days before, and antibiotics and pain killers afterwards. My blood showed signs of infection, and that meant that I could not nurse anymore! I was stupid and refused to go to the doctor.
Good luck with surgery, and love that precious baby!
What kind were you on?

Good luck and sending prayers your way :)
I had mines removed in 01! Surgery and recovery wasn't too bad! Hopefully it'll be the same for you!
I honestly do not remember. I know my husband said I had like 7 different bags hooked in 3 different IV's. But, I had to be on the meds for 3 days, then had surgery, then I spent another week in the hospital, with all those meds in me! I was definitely along the lines of worse case scenario. That was 18 years ago. Things have changed alot.

Whoa! I am hospitalized and they draw blood around the clock, probably for that very reason. No signs of infection. The only precautions they gave me about nursing afterwards was a sore belly. I have been on pain medicine this whole time and they said its safe.

Thinking of you and hope all goes well.
I know quite a few people who had their gall bladder removed and everything was fine.
Oh and congrats on your precious little baby!
