I'm so proud of my cousin

My cousin just came out and said he was gay...he has a wife and a child but said he just couldn't hide it anymore.  I am so proud of him that he was brave enough to come out and be true to himself.  I just wanted to share this here cause I know I can't share it on fb or anything really yet.

Good for him. How is his wife handling it?

Ouch... that's gonna be hard on everyone...

but hopefully he can be happy now, and I'm glad he can be himself.

it was kind of a shock to her but she's doing pretty good with it...they are still friends and well his dd is only 1 so she doesn't understand but he is a wonderful dad.  Its gonna be harder on the rest of our family to accept

I feel sorry for his wife. That's a horrible deception on his part. I'm glad he could come out now instead of later.

I can imagine the shock. Glad she is doing well. Sounds like he will need all the support he can get.

Takes a lot of guts to finally come out and say it.

I agree. Yay for him being true to himself, but too bad he couldn't have done that years ago instead of dragging others into it. I know it would've been hard for him before, but if he knew back then, why marry someone, promise them forever, have kids with them and THEN decide to be true to yourself? That's always been my problem with it. I know people that have carried on the lie for years and had kids, g'kids, mortgages, etc and I can't help but be mad that they did that instead of just being honest :/

well he said he didn't want to believe it himself...but it was hard to hide it.  I sort of felt like he was but ya know you can't just go up to someone and say 'hey, I know you aren't what you are pretending to be'.  His parents are taking it well and so is his brother and sister.  I just hope that my Grandmother can accept him.  So far he isn't telling everyone just some people.  I mean so far people just know that they are getting a divorce and are still friends.
