So I was looking into online colleges. I am wondering if I should go to a totally online school (like Phinoix) or a community college where I can take my classes online (but I also have the option of in-school classes)
I am wondering if anyone has ever done an online school. Did you have a good experience?
Also for those who will say that online degrees aren't taken seriously I am not really worried about that because my goal is to open my own business. I just want the degree so I can learn the basics. KWIM?
So any advice?

I do online through Columbia College. I started at a military base that had a satellite campus. When I moved there wasn't a campus near me so I moved to doing it completely online. It's been awesome.
Thanks for the reply! It helps. I just think online would be way... easier for me.

Imo any college is a YAY! Making an effort in any way to improve yourself is awesome and if anyone looks down on you for that they are a jerk!
Thank you!

With your goal, I think the online college should be fine.
That's what I'm thinking too.
I would go to a community college if I were you. The instruction is more organized, and you will be taught by someone who's qualified and has interviewed for the position. I teach full-time at a community college, and I've also taught for an online school--it was so easy to get hired there that there's no way it's as good as a community college. And the curriculum was a joke. If you want a real degree, go to a community college or a university. Good luck to you!
My SO attends an online college that I would HIGHLY recommend. It is accredited, inexpensive, and I have seen firsthand that the curriculum is great. This is his college: www.wgu.edu (Western Governor's University)
I would NOT recommend that you attend Pheonix or DeVry online colleges. My sister got her BS from Pheonix online and it was VERY expensive and not worth the money.
Good luck!
i was going to try kaplan but no way. you need to make sure the places are accredited. places around here wont accept degrees in certain areas from UoP or Kaplan
