DD's G-tube and fundoplication surgery got cancelled because they don't have a bed in the PICU (pediatric Intensive Care Unit) open for her in case something goes wrong. I have NO idea when they'll be able to get her in for surgery. They said it'll be whenever they can get a room reserved for her, which could be a while.
My poor baby's reflux is so severe that we can't feed her nearly enough to keep her hydrated and gaining weight properly. She's getting fluids through an IV, but she's still so uncomfortable. Poor baby, she's in pain and I can't do anything to make it better until she gets the surgery.
That is messed up! I am sorry, I hope they get her in soon so she can be more comfortable!

No, it's not that. They just want a PICU room ready for her in case something goes wrong because she's at a higher risk for malignant hyperthermia and not being able to be extubated.

I'm sorry. That's such a load of crap. Is it because of her brain issues that they aren't fighting harder to help her? I would hope not, but wouldn't be surprised by the medical field.
They're really trying to get her in ASAP. They said they'd get her in the moment a room opens up.
Quoting ForeverMommy08:See about switching hopspitals? That's messed up!
