What is the average for menopause?

We have a resident at our nursing home and is in her early 60s and still get periods.

I have no idea.  The women in my family don't go through traditional menopause.  My mother is almost 48 and isn't even perimenopausal yet.  My grandmother didn't cease menstruation until she was almost 60 and never had any menopause symptoms.

Im not sure. I heard once that heredity played a factor but I dont know.

Im almost 47 and have absolutely no symptons whatsoever. I'm still like clockwork as far as periods...no hot flashes, no moodiness, etc.
