which photo is best?

So took some family photos..

What do you think looks best for a family photo to hang in the living room?

1- the "classic" photo

OR

2. The cute and funny photo...

we did them in the livingroom of my parents house, as that's how my brothers family photos were taken this year.. and we wanted a similar/matching background so they match on my parents walls (these are technically for them, although we are doing prints for ourselves as well).
