I am home and settling in with my new little bundle-'o-joy. It's been really good, mostly...

However, I've experienced one problem, breastfeeding. She is an extremely sleepy baby and doesn't wake for feedings and will sleep until she's ravenous then she won't latch and it makes me feel so bad. How can I rouse her to eat? I've tried touching her chin, cheek, using a damp wash cloth across her face, it's impossible to wake her. :-/

Cool NOT cold damp rag on cheek or back. That is what they suggested for my son when other tricks didn't work.

Congratulations! I don't have any inventive ways to wake a baby though. I hope someone knows a few tricks.

I've been using a warmer one, thanks, I'll try that.
