I decided that I would get my friend (the shaman and healer) something to pay him back for helping my DD. He's Cherokee and there is a store nearby that sells authentic (I made a point of confirming this) Cherokee items. I bought a Medicine Wheel for him. What y'all think? Pretty nice, no?

I really want a dream catcher. I know it sounds dumb and silly but I have HORRIBLE nightmares when I get stressed out. Its like just nights full of not sleeping and vivid dreams. Totally random but I think he'll love it.
That's not silly at all. I used to have HORRIFYING nightmares until I got a dream catcher. I haven't had one single nightmare since.

I love it! My family comes from Sioux and I think there might be Cherokee in there too.
I would absolutely buy one if I lived next to a reservation. If I knew it was authentic and not some weirdo selling them on ebay :) If I'm ever in a reservation area I will buy one. Thats good to know it worked for you too!

That is not silly. My brother make dream catchers and he blesses them and hands them out to family members. Each one is specifically designed for that person. And they work. We have some in my house and they are pretty awesome.

Usually tobacco is given as a sign of respect and thanks in his culture, but the smell of tobacco makes me really sick. :/
