Pro Choicers

I've always wonderred at the self proclaimed pro-choicers who say abortion is a woman's right and most agree that a fetus is a fetus, a potential baby, but "life begins at conception" is incredibly subjective... but in the same breath add a "but" in there. As in, BUT a woman who has multiple abortions is disgusting.

Why? Why is it disgusting to have multiple abortions... to abort multiple globs of cellular formation (stole this description from another group post! lol), but it's totally okay to do it ONCE?

I'm pro choice. Militantly so, actually. I'll admit I cringe when I hear of women having several, but it has more to do with "ouch! multiple surgical procedures!"; not "you're disgusting and killing potential peoples".

I am a Home Schooling, Vaccinating, Non spanking, Nightmare Cuddling, Dessert Giving, Bedtime Kissing, Book Reading, Academic pushing Mother. I believe that I have seen the village and I do not want it raising my child. I believe that my place, as a woman, is in the home caring for my husband and children. My husband is head of our home.             Aimee

I am pro choice. I do believe that human life starts at conception (because scientifically it does).I also don't need usually incorrect dehumanizing fluff about blobs of cells or parasites to make me think it's okay for a woman to choose not to carry her embryo or fetus full term.

I think the cringe factor of hearing that women have had multiple abortions doesn't come from the actual act of aborting for me but that women in general should really just be more responsible with prevention and that circumstance is a prime example as to why.

That being said, its okay for a woman to have 50 abortions if she wants to. I just really don't understand why someone would want that over and over instead of taking a pill or a shot or a patch or an implant or an IUD or even using condoms.

I agree w you.

Also, ~using abortion as birth control~ doesn't happen as often as people make it seem.

And no, idgaf if someone knows a girl who had 7 abortions or whatever the fuck anecdotal evidence will be barfed all over this post.

I have no idea. I'm pro choice and mind my own business. If you choose to have multiple abortions that's not my business.

Interesting question.

Reproductive rights come with profound responsibility.  I don't agree with abortion (I wouldn't have one), but I support another woman's right to dictate what happens to her body.

That said, if you don't want a baby there are better more responsible ways of preventing it and I think abusing the privilege of having access to abortion services undermines that privilege for everyone.

I am pro choice because to take away a womans choice does not mean that she will be given a baby. China took away the choice and they kill the babies. They will abort 362 babies from one woman if she gets pregnant that many times. My mil was ordered by her husband to abort their baby, her friends and many family shunned her for leaving her husband and chosing the babies life, she was fired from her job, had to move across the country and lie about her husband. She had to fight for her CHOICE.

Pro-choice is not always abortion. It is about every woman having a choice to their own body. She can have 40 children or just 2. The choice must be hers and no one else.

I can think that something is disgusting, but still think it should be legal. I'm pro choice because I think women should have the choice, no matter what my personal feelings on the subject are.
