My eating is out of control.

So I'm 8 weeks 1 day pregnant with my 3rd and I've already gained about 5lbs. Obviously, it's not all baby.. Especially since you don't carry babies in your thighs that's where everything is getting tight. I've gone from fitness and healthy eating savvy, to napping pepperoni pizza eating queen! I'm feeling rather grossed out by myself already and need to learn to grab hold of some self control but I don't know how! Ahhhhhhh. I'm hoping this will pass, I never craved bad foods with my other pregnancies. What to do, what to do??

make your own pizza using whole wheat English muffins, diced tomatoes, low fat mozzarella and just a few slices of pepperoni.  You can control your portion that way and the calories.

I am on my 3rd as well but no real cravings yet although I have allowed my diet to slack off a bit because I had been following a low carb diet.

Just try and make healthy alternatives such as sweet potato fries instead of regular, choosing whole wheat bread, frozen yogurt instead of icecream, whole wheat pasta, etc.

feel free to pm me, so we can keep each other in check with diet and exercise.  I work out during my lunch break with 15 minutes of standing abs and 15 minutes of free weights or lower body exercises.  I also do some about 5.5 hours of low impact exercise called NEAT about 5 days a week and walk with my kids when I can.  I look forward to swimming when the pool FINALLY warms back up!

I believe in indulging my cravings (23 wks) when I have them, otherwise I binge later. And flavored, carbonated water helps fight soda cravings, Edy's whole fruit bars take care of sugar and sweets cravings, and remember to keep doing things. Keep nutrtional snacks and water with you at all times that'll help too. Good luck lady!!

I agree with the others.  Substitute the "bad" foods with healthier options so that cravings can be met but you dont exceed calories for the day.  I do not know what the amount of calories is for a pregnant woman so that she does not gain excessive weight while helping the baby grow.  If you can, start walking and exercising again as well.
