Going for my first one, do have any advice or experiences to share??
Mammogram that is. I am scheduled to get my very first one done on the 24th. I hear some say they are very painful and some say they are nothing! Have you had one and what was it like for you?

Depends on how big you are as to if it hurts bad ir not. I have yearly now that i am mid 40s and for me they are quite painful, i am also very tiny chested and the tech always has a difficult time doing the mammogram due to me having barely enough beast tissue.

Depends on the kind of machine your hospital uses. Ours are pretty nice, they even warm up. The old ones were ice cold and yes, they hurt.

it dose hurt but not to bad i have a few lumps so it hurt more in that area

I didn't think it hurt... Just relax and do t tense up

Ask for the flap of lead that goes around your neck to protect your thyroid. There are increasing instances of thyroid cancers caused from exposure to radiation during mammograms (and dental xrays). Good luck tho!
