So. My bf (not my BD, butI consider a father to my son ) has always asked to have my son on days that I am working and he is off! he considers these days as Father son days! I get great pics throughout the day, park, hiking, bike rides, craft stuff, everything. My son is only 16 months old. And yesterday my BF asked for max as usual, but today he is going to Bisbee, AZ (with his mother, love her) bisbee is 4 hrs away from me in Phoenix, This would be a day trip. Leave at 6 and My son will be home at 11pm. This is the longest my son will be away from me since birth. LOL I admit I am nervous but I know he is in great care with my bf and his mother. I guess I just dont like that he is so far away. But i let him go cuz I asked my son if he wanted to go with my bf, and he knew that because my bf showed up early in the morning that it was a daddy and son day, and jumped to him! So I let him go, I just know this will be a long day for me. but I know he will have fun and is safe. :D
I think it is absolutely awesome that your bf is taking on the responsibility of "daddy" AND that he is making your son very happy. Just proves that you don't have to give part of your DNA to be "daddy" (or "mommy" for that matter).
I hope they have a wonderful time! Try not to stress too much!
I did do it, They are half way to bisbee right now, My bf called to let me know they were half way there and that they stopped at a deer farm and My son pet the deers

Wow. How old is he? And you guys have been together for almost 2 years? That's great...almost unheard of these days, especially for a man. (I hope that doesn't sound rude, lol)
