This is in regards to another post by a mom in this particular group.

I think a poll is a way to go, less animosity this way.

And since there are SOME, not all women, out there who are judgemental, this scenario will be general.

A mom on public assistance.....................

I'm in favor of people having food and health insurance regardless of income. Especially moms with children.

PA is great when a person needs a hand to improve their life. It is a temporary fix and was never meant to be a lifestyle choice. It is just common sense if you need PA already adding another child to your family will only set you further back. Some people are happy being dependent. I just don't have that mindset and don't really understand how it is anyone else's responsibility to take care of my family.

PA should be for those who do need it through no fault of their own such as the elderly and the disabled. They didn't have a choice.

Let's see how nice or naughty we can be.

I find all of this comical because it's so easy to judge but yet, we aren't perfect so none of us have any room to judge others unless you feel that you, yourself are perfect.

"Who are you judge the life I live? I know I'm not perfect and I don't live to be. But, before you start pointing fingers, make sure your hands are clean"

-Bob Marley

So I ask you, are YOUR hands clean?

And I'm talking about with everything, not just talking about women bashing other women because they are on PA.

I'm talking about people judging others because of their political views, their race, their sex and the same sex marriage. Pretty much any topic that causes alot of animosity.

We can throw out what ifs all day. If a woman needed it temporarily because of a situation, great. Use it and then work towards becoming financially independent. A woman who was raped has choices though. Plan B, adoption or abortion. If she wants to keep the baby and needs PA for a little bit no big deal.

I am all for PA. I regularly refer my clients to apply for help. But there are people who are on it by choice, not because of need.

I voted neutral. I'm all for the safety net, but how I feel about the woman receiving it all depends on a case-by-case basis.

All in all, my main concern is that children are able to be fed and taken care of. It's not a child's fault if their parent(s) make stupid decisions and they sholdn't have to suffer for those choices.
