My Church "Family"....

Is seriously twisted?

Yes I am currently unmarried and pregnant.
Yes I gave up my position as sunday school teacher with no fight because of my situation. I totally understood my obligation to do so.
Yes they extended themselves to me verbally. You know the usual, "if you need to talk call me.", "keep in touch sweetheart. We're always here for you.", etc. And now that I'm on bedrest from my cerclage and freaking out everyday and could serious the help of my church family I get responses such as "oh that's sad. I hope things work out for you." Or "I hope you're okay." It feels horrible.

Now I love my faith and my religion and everything it stands for and means, but the way these people are acting you'd think I was a stranger.

Just wanted to vent a little bit.

I'm so sorry. I had my oldest at 16. Luckily it wasn't like your situation. I'm sorry your church family isn't more supportive.

I know exactly what you mean! We have gone to the same church for 5 years, I used to love going. But, ever since "they" came, I HATE it more and more each day. I am sorry that they are being so unsupportive. Hang in there, it will be okay.

Thank you. It hurts because I know I messed up in how I got my little lady (still 23wks but I have her in me)...but dang can't my pastor come pray with me or even talk to me over the phone. Or the women of the church just be supportive. I have my mom and my biological family and they are extremely supportive but it's nice to have people outside of bio family. But thank you ladies for your prayers and encouragment.

As listed in my post have been the majority of my communications. These were the conversations had via phone and text.

Quoting Pink_Sunshine:

do you have Family that could be supportive for you this time? I mean, the Church honestly can do just but so much. They said for you to call, have you? Be glad you got atleast that, some Churches don't say a word in situations like that to you. Sad but true.
