answer your damm phone when the school calls you.  I just got a phone call from the school about my neigbors child which was actually a little confusing because she was talking to me as if it was my child and she's telling me things like she says she vomited twice this morning.  I'm thinking No she didnt, she didnt even tell me she was not feeling well. It wasnt until I said can I talk to tori that she realized nooo I mean Jennifer.  lol She then says she called and left 2 messages but couldnt get thru. No i do not want to  come get the child but i will go and bang on their door until they wake their asses up and come and pick up their sick child. I'm pissed because the girls sat side by side eating breakfast togher and I just know tori's gonna catch what she has and spend her vacation in bed or at the dr's  uggg  okay vent over

I get sometimes the kids don't show any symptoms before going to school and it comes on in school.  Sometimes the kid is not contageous and is capable of going to school.  I even get that sometimes parents really just don't have a choice.    But when both parents are going to be home because they don't have jobs and your kid is sick keep them HOME when they vomit in the morning.  It was no problem keeping the kid home when she shut off the alarm clock and they woke up when i was knocking on the door to pick her up but when she's vomiting they send her !!!

okay i guess I  had more vent in me  lol

I just want to say I love your icon and I know how you feel..its the same for people going to work sick. My sons preschool wont let you leave your kid there if they even look sick and im so freaking thankful for that. unfortunatly it doesnt work the same at Dh's work, some idiot went in for work with strep throat and now everybody has it, DH brought it home and now we all have it; it sucks.

Your daughter probably won't catch it. The little girl would have had to have had diarrhea or already vomited and had it on her hands. Those sorts of things aren't airborne. So, as long as your daughter doesn't come into contact with the actual feces or vomit, she won't catch it.

No I get that and that's what I'm talking about, they had to return 5 kids last week the first 5 minutes there cause they were clearly ill and it was like a delay in showing up.

Oh, sorry. Disregard my last comment. I didn't realize she was throwing up before school.

What annoyed me wasn't so much that she was sick. Kids get sick all the time.  I was more frustrated with having to deal with the school nurse because the child's parents can't pick up the damm phone.  The nurse was annoyed to begin with and I get the brunt of her being annoyed for someone else's child.

There's actually a huge history  that has soo much more to do than just her being sick kinda like icing on the cake.

Poor kid. I'm sorry, but if I'm home & my kid is showing signs of being sick I'm surely not sending him in.

Lian's Summer of Fun: Remember Why We Celebrate Memorial Day

Memorial Day is sad but special day where we remember the men and women who sacrificed their lives in war to give us our freedom.

Sounds like a bit of lazy parenting here, but what I noticed when DS was in public school was mixed signals from the school. I was actually told flat out to send him to school anyway and if he was too bad they would call me to bring him home. They were super concerned with federal money for a butt in a seat when roll was called. One of the many reasons he is in a charter school now.

I agree, that's how my kids bring all the sicknesses home! it's just so rude!
