ADD?

my 9 year old DS has been having issues in school

he zones out, he isn't exactly social, he is falling behind in reading and now that his reading and science requires more reading he is falling behind there as well

we got him in to see the pediatrician and he had us and his teacher fill out the Vanderbilt ADD/ADHD questionnaires.

I just got the call this morning. Apparently the answers on our questionnaires suggest ADD

We have an appointment on Monday to discuss treatment options.

A true diagnosis won't come from a questionnaire. He needs to be properly tested.

Zoning out can also be from boredom

My daughter is 9 yrs old , and was diagnosed with ADD back in April. She was / is having the same issues.

I was able to get her on an IEP last year in grade 3, she was reading at a grade 1 level and her math was at a grade 2 level.

I wouldnt rule out the option of him being ADD.
